James
Wilkins
Director
James has over 10 years proven experience of retail, brand marketing
and sales. He established these credentials whilst working for
a venture capital company working with Blue Chips such as HSBC,
Vodafone, and Carphone Warehouse.
In 1996 he moved to Marks and Spencer and played an integral part
in improving the brand perception of the company, working directly
with the main board on strategic alliances and joint ventures.
This allowed him the opportunity to interface with a range of businesses
across many sectors to ascertain which companies provided the most
appropriate “fit” for the new Marks and Spencer strategy. During
this time, James was a core part of the team which delivered menswear
segmentation and the launch of brands such as Blue Harbour.
He moved from M&S in 2005 to join the board of Logistik, a
full service marketing and communications business, taking an integral
role in developing and growing the business by overseeing and strategically
leading relationships with Lloyds TSB, BMW, Vodaphone and his previous
employer Marks and Spencer.
This exceptional pedigree in marcoms, aligned with his agile business
mind has meant Sillsport’s most recent board appointment brings
another layer of qualified expertise to the company.
